Barely a year after getting a license to operate in Michigan, Design Works Gaming (DWG) is yet to show signs of slowing down in the state. Coming off the back of major successful deals with key players in the Michigan online gambling industry, DWG has recorded yet another milestone.

The leading provider of casino gaming and entertainment recently announced that it has penned an agreement with Caesars Entertainment.

DWG’s Expansion Brings a Feeling of Deja Vu

In November 2022, as part of its streak of partnerships with heavyweights, DWG had previously signed deals to distribute its games through BetMGM and DraftKings casinos. Now, it is collaborating with Caesars Entertainment to expand its reach in the gaming market in Michigan. This marks the company's third foray into the state’s online casino markets and represents an exciting new opportunity for Michigan players.

For any active follower of Design Works Gaming’s business, this line of partnerships is not strange. Before Michigan, DWG had gone live in New Jersey, following a similar pattern of collaborations and gaming content deals.

The developer launched in The Garden State, rolling out its content to Golden Nuggets Casino and ResortsCasino, two of the largest gaming sites in the locality. So, it’s not surprising that the developer aims to replicate its success in the New Jersey markets here in Michigan by targeting the largest casino operators.

As CEO of DWG, Troy Zurawki remarks,

“After the success we’ve seen with our games in New Jersey, our team is brimming with excitement to finally be live in Michigan and to debut with the largest operator in the state… In just a few short months since going live with BetMGM in New Jersey, we’ve seen unmatched dedication to creating the best player experience possible.”

Having now solidified its position in Michigan markets, DWG will look to establish a name for itself in Connecticut and Pennsylvania, where it recently acquired operating licenses.

What To Expect from a Design Works Gaming Partnership

The deal will see Design Works Gaming provide a range of gaming options for Caesars Entertainment's customers in Michigan, including slot machines, table games, and other gaming experiences. Design Works Gaming has a strong track record of providing top-quality gaming experiences for its customers, and is known for its innovative approach to casino gaming.

Fully optimizing the Light & Wonder OpenGaming Platform, DWG will make its award-winning online slots and Lucky Tap releases available to casino players. Some of its famous titles that players can expect include 10x Fortune, Double Fancy 7s and Test Your Strength Lucky Tap.

Speaking about the potential expectations of the partnership, Troy Zurawski had this to say on behalf of DWG:

“Caesars is home to many of the most iconic gaming brands in the US, which makes them a perfect home for DWG content. By launching initially with Caesars Casino Michigan, we’re bringing our top titles to a significant audience with high expectations for their gaming experience. We’re confident that Caesars Entertainment will love what DWG brings to the table.“

Caesars Entertainment Michigan is also excited about the collaboration with Design Works Gaming, and believes that it will help to enhance the company's offerings in the state.

“At Caesars, we take pride in bringing an exceptional online casino experience to our players across the US and DWG is like-minded and committed to bringing some of the most innovative games to the market," said Matthew Sunderland, Senior Vice President of iGaming for Caesars Entertainment. "We’re thrilled to offer Caesars players in Michigan access to DWG’s quality titles.“

A Good Financial Year for the Michigan Online Gaming Industry

The partnership between Design Works Gaming and Caesars Entertainment is set to begin in the coming months, and will bring a range of exciting gaming options to the Michigan market. Design Works Gaming is, no doubt, strategically positioning itself to tap into the record-breaking financials that have marked Michigan online casinos in 2022.

From January to October 2022, online casinos in Michigan reported $233.6 million in tax revenue. And with 2022 yet to roll by, the AGR for 2022 has already surpassed the total achieved in 2021. The iGaming industry also recorded a 9.4% revenue increase from September to October, the second highest jump in revenue since December 2021.

With DWG contributing in no mean way through its impressive catalog of games, the Michigan gaming industry will definitely be one to look out for in 2023.
