NBA Best Bets 2023-2024

This Wednesday night in the NBA its time to take advantage of some teams that are just playing out the string. We’re looking at you Pistons, and you too Hornets. Remember, more games are lost than won. We also look to see if Golden State can keep it going after their big win in Miami Tuesday night. There are only about 10 games left in the NBA regular season. Time to finish strong.

Golden State Warriors at Orlando Magic Best Bet

Over 217 (-108) at FanDuel

Jimmy Butler was a late scratch for the Heat last night and the Warriors took advantage capturing a big win in Miami. Now they go for the Florida sweep, holding on to the last spot in the Western Conference for the Play-In Tournament.

The Magic are legit and have won five of their last six. They’re going to be a problem in the Eastern Conference playoffs. Paolo Banchero puts up 22 a night. They’ve averaged 113 points in their last six games.

I’m still kicking myself for my under bet yesterday. I won’t make the same mistake. You have the Warriors on a back-to-back, which means tired, old legs, and a young Magic team ready to pounce. It’s the lowest total on the board tonight and I’m jumping on the over.

Detroit Pistons at Minnesota Timberwolves Best Bet

T’Wolves -14.5 (-110) at BetMGM

Fans in Detroit have to be wondering if Coach Monty Williams is one and done. The Pistons dreadful season took another turn Monday night as the Knicks ran up the score late in a big win, setting up Donte DiVincenzo for a franchise record 11 threes to twist the knife.

Williams protested after the game, basically calling the Knicks classless. The Knicks responded saying play better defense. The whole thing made Williams look out of touch.

Detroit is 12-60, the worst record in the league, and has lost seven in a row, and only one of those losses was by single digits. Star guard Cade Cunningham is questionable with a knee injury, joining long list of injured Pistons.

Minnesota star Anthony Edwards may sit this one out with a finger injury. Even without him the T’Wolves are about 20 points better. The Pistons are a total laughingstock at the moment.

Cleveland Cavaliers at Charlotte Hornets Best Bet

Cavs -10.5 (-108) at DraftKings

Speaking of teams that have thrown in the towel, meet the Hornets. They started the season relatively well. They were 5-9, LaMelo Ball was putting up numbers, then he got hurt and the whole franchise crumbled.

Charlotte has 17 wins on the season and has lost five in a row. They are a woeful 27-44 against the spread. Their last five losses have been by an average margin of 21 points.

This is the second game of a doubleheader. Cleveland won 115-92 on Monday. Cavs star Donovan Mitchell is out with a busted nose, but Darius Garland has picked up the slack averaging almost 20 a game in his last 10.

It’s the start of a franchise-record eight game homestand for Charlotte. I checked. You can get tickets for 11 bucks tonight. Charlotte should be paying the fans to come. Usually teams split doubleheaders, but I don’t see that happening here.
